SpoilerTV announced some important casting news for the fifth “The Mentalist” season. I don’t know whether this is true or not, perhaps it’s just a rumor. It’s a pretty interesting spoiler though, especially for the huge Patrick Jane fans. Reconsider it before reading on.
Casting is already underway for Season 5 of The Mentalist. They are casting a new recurring female role who will be a potential love interest for Patrick Jane called Loralei.

ADAM: ADAM: Oddly enough, we hear she’s a Las Vegas cocktail waitress. She’s described as being remarkably intelligent with the inevitable heart of gold. And apparently, she’s the type of girl with whom Jane will want to spend some quality time: Although she’ll be introduced in the finale, we hear she’ll stick around for five more episodes next season as well.

AUSIELLO: Someone new and, as of this writing, still not cast. The character, named, ahem, Lorelai, is a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who is described as a bimbo with a heart of gold — minus the bimbo part. She actually possesses great intelligence and depth, and Jane quickly becomes smitten. So much so that Lorelai is scheduled to appear in the finale and return for at least five episodes next season.
